Description automatically generatedThe Winery was turned into an elegant art gallery and garden setting that was attended by approximately 150 guests who strolled through the gallery admiring the exquisite artwork of 18 resident artists, and the patio was a showcase of gardening exhibitions, blooming plants and potting demonstrations sponsored by Meadowlark Gardens.  Two Master Gardeners from the CSU Tri-River Extension Area were also available to answer questions about gardening in the Grand Valley.

In addition to the spectacular variety of art and garden exhibits, guests were treated to a delectable array of appetizers and hors d'oeuvres made by Seasons homeowners and volunteers, and local wines from the Two River Chateau and Winery were available to pair with the incredible food.  Soft music played in the background of the energetic crowd lending a jazzy atmosphere to this special evening.  Just when you thought the evening couldn’t get any better, beautiful potted plants from Meadowlark Gardens were given away as door prizes delighting many happy recipients before heading home.

There are so many hardworking people who deserve gratitude and praise for putting on such a high-class event in our community.  We are fortunate to have such talented and willing volunteers, and we’d like to recognize everyone for their efforts.

Many thanks to our very dedicated and visionary Landscape Committee:

Becky Jessen, Chairperson, Pat Noble, Susie Attaway, Sharon Currie-Mills, Fran Phillips, Linda Spinner

The amazing variety and quality of artwork would not have been possible without so many of our talented artists who donated their time and energy to showcase their work.   We would like to extend a special thank you to artist John Phillips.  John is a professional artist in our midst, and he generously donated $300 to the committee from paintings he sold during the art show.  Thank you to all the artists!

A delicious assortment of culinary delights embellished the festivities and was made possible by many generous and talented volunteers from the Seasons. Thank you to everyone who contributed their time and creative efforts to provide such a delectable array of appetizers and hors d’oeuvres!

The newly reopened Meadowlark Gardens graciously hosted the gardening presentation on the patio of the Winery, and it was “Bloomin’ Spectacular”!  We appreciate all the beautiful potted plants and potting demonstrations that made this such a special addition to our Art & Blooms gala, and we especially appreciate the door prizes that delighted and surprised so many guests!

Additionally, the two Master Gardeners from the CSU Tri-River Extension program were a wonderful addition to the garden exhibit!  They graciously talked about gardening in the Grand Valley and answered a variety of questions for our residents.  Thank you to

Mollie Freilicher, Sandi Thurston and Lynn Swanson for their gardening expertise!

No event is quite complete without good music, and guests enjoyed a variety of music throughout the evening from the ensemble “Rosewood and Ivory”.  Members of the Landscape Committee generously contributed their money to sponsor the music, and it is just another of the many ways this committee has made this event such a success.

Last, but certainly not least, we’d like to thank the LaCroix’s for making arrangements with Two Rivers Chateau and Winery to allow us to use their beautiful facility for our Art & Blooms extravaganza!  What a gift from the Winery and to have this spectacular and swanky venue in our own backyard!
